Cabinet Construction



FACE FRAMES: are assembled from a quality, variety of select hardwoods,
blind mortise and tenoned, glued and pinned. They are then sanded
to a uniform thickness and machined to receive the side panels.
INTERIORS: finished with select hardwood or hardwood veneer in
matching finish to exterior. Paneled ends are 3/4” veneer core plywood
securely fastened to the front frame with tongue and groove, glued
the entire length of the end panel and pressure clamped. Reinforcing
corner blocks are added to the base cabinets at points of stress.
Floors are 1/2” veneer core plywood finished to match.
BACKS: are 1/4” hardwood veneer core plywood.
SHELVES: Adjustable glass in apothecary & wall cabinets.
DRAWER BOXES: are constructed using solid 5/8” maple or birch
dovetailed components smoothly sanded and finished. Drawer
bottoms are 1/4” birch or maple plywood.
DRAWER SYSTEM: softmotion full extension undermount drawer glides
allow an extra 3” in length to the actual drawer box on ” deep base
cabinets.
DOORS AND DRAWER FRONTS: are completely constructed in-house
using a variety of select hardwoods and veneers. All doors and drawer
fronts are machined and then hand-sanded.
FINISH: hand sanding then staining, followed by a coat of sealer, then
sanded. Clear topcoat is the final layer. Solid finishes consist of primer
coats and 1 enamel topcoat. Glaze finishes consist of 2 primer coats
and glazing followed with a clear topcoat.
HINGES: Softmotion self-closing.
DECORATIVE HARDWARE: is included n/c as the final touch.
